Yasi Shahidian
Yasi Shahidian is a Legal Assistant with a background in physics and a passion for social impact. She brings a unique perspective shaped by her experiences advocating for youth in underserved communities. Yasi has served as a Leader of the Prime Minister’s Youth Council and is currently a member of Canada’s External Advisory Committee for the 2030 Agenda. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Physics from Queen’s University as a Chernoff Family Scholar and worked as a McDonald Institute Summer Research and Outreach Fellow, combining astrophysics research with science outreach for youth.
Yasi is also an Emergency Management Volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross and an active voice in national and international advocacy. She has represented Canada at the United Nations Economic and Social Council Youth Forum and through the Ship for World Youth Program in Japan and has served as a panelist at the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s 2024 National Housing Conference and the Government of Canada’s 2024 Workforce Summit.
