Pawan Rai

Pawan is an Associate Lawyer with experience in family, criminal, and civil litigation in both British Columbia and Alberta. Known for her passion and client-focused approach, she is committed to guiding individuals through challenging legal matters with empathy, diligence, and clarity.

After completing her legal education at the University of Leicester, Pawan returned to Canada to complete the University of Alberta’s Internationally Trained Lawyers Pathway Program. She articled in Edmonton and was called to the Alberta Bar in August 2024. She later transferred to British Columbia, where she was called to the BC Bar in February 2025.

In Alberta, Pawan regularly appeared before the Court of King’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Justice on a range of family law matters. She also gained experience in criminal and civil litigation while working at a boutique firm in the Okanagan. While her practice in Alberta was primarily focused on family law, she has chosen to continue that focus in British Columbia. Whether advocating in court or guiding clients through mediation, Pawan is dedicated to helping families navigate complex legal issues with skill and compassion.

Originally from the Okanagan, Pawan enjoys visiting family in Osoyoos on weekends. Outside of her legal practice, she loves spending time with her husband and their adorable dog, LJ.
